Dulles, Crossword, Elections, & Meeting! | | Wednesday, 19 March 2008 | Dulles: If you are interested in going to the National Air and Space Museum in Dulles, please let us know immediately in person or on ANGEL. We will be arranging transportation for all participants so we want to know what dates are good for you. Check out what the museum has to offer by clicking here. Surely you don't want to miss this opportunity to travel with your friends in aerospace to a fascinating museum. Crossword: Test your aerospace knowledge! The AIAA has compiled a fun crossword that lets you use what you have learned in your aerospace courses. It's fairly easy and uses basic aerospace terminology (sort of). Copies are available in the Aerospace office in 229 Hammond (ask Amy). We will replenish these copies when need be. You can also download and print yourself a copy by clicking here.
Elections: If you would like to run for an officer position in the AIAA next semester, get ready! Be prepared to submit information about yourself as well as a small speech to be presented to the voters. We will keep you updated on when elections will take place. Feel free to contact any AIAA officer regarding his or her position to get some insight on what positions interest you.
General Meeting: We are having another general meeting to which all AIAA members are invited to. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, 2008 6:00PM KUNKLE LOUNGE

Aerospace Engineering wants YOUR suggestions!
| | Friday 22 February 2008 | The yearly Industrial and Professional Advisory Council (IPAC) meeting is approaching! This is where a committee of professionals spend several days on campus hearing feedback about the aerospace engineering department and then making suggestions for improvements. A survey is now in place on ANGEL for you to anonymously submit anything you would like the officers to bring up to the committee. This is your chance to bring up any issues that you may have faced or are facing in our department. Don't miss this particular opportunity. Oh, and don't forget about submitting your T-SHIRT designs on ANGEL! You have the chance, right here and now, to put your design on apparel that will be worn by hundreds of people. |
Résumé Service & Other Updates
| | Saturday, 01 February 2008 | Resumes: Looking for a job this summer? Need to brush up that resume? The engineering career fair is just around the corner, on February 6th. You can check out http://www.engr.psu.edu/coop for all the details. In the meantime, AIAA would like to offer peer resume reviewing by students who have held several work experiences and have been through many career fairs and interviews. If you would like another opinion while crafting your resume, please contact us so that we can get you in touch with an experienced student.
The student will review your resume and email you with feedback. Further discussion may also be arranged if desired. This resource is available for our benefit. Many aerospace companies will be at the career fair next week, so good luck with your preparations. Dulles Trip: The AIAA is planning a trip to the National Air & Space Museum in Dulles. We will release more details in a few more days.
T-Shirt Contest: We are starting our new 2008 T-Shirt contest. The goal is to have a few designs selected to be placed on T-Shirts that will be sold to all AIAA members and alumni in the aerospace department. You should incorporate some aerospace aspect into the deisgn whether it be a slogan or an image. Please contact us if you need more infromation.
